What EcoSoya Wax Melts are and How to use them.

What an EcoSoya Wax Melt is.

A Melt is sometimes called a Wickless Candle. As it is made from Soy or Soya wax and often looks like a candle that you cannot burn!!

A Melt is designed to do just that, Melt and as it does so, it releases a beautiful Room Fragrance or Healing Aroma when made using Pure Essential Oils.

In the US, Melts are more commonly know as Tarts. When I use the word Tart, it is to describe the Shape of the Melt. As I do make many different shapes, customized for you.

A Melt can be placed into an Oil Burner. You do not need water. Simply place a tea light candle into your oil or tart burner or pot pourri warmer.  The Melt will become gently warmed, until it is liquid. Then the beautiful fragrance will be released into the room. Soy wax Holds the scent very well, it does not all evaporate at the beginning. The scent throw should last and leave your room smelling wonderful!! These melts can be left to set and re-used again another time. In most cases giving off a Pot Pourri Fragrance.

Using a melt in your oil burner is easier than constantly adding water and your own oils. It lasts much longer too.

The length of time the scent is released from the Melt may vary, this will depend on the size of your oil burner and how close the candle is to the dish, where it is placed etc. On average at least 10 hours have been produced from many tests and reports from my customers of them lasting over 12 hours.

Melts are not just designed for use in an Oil Burner, there are more and more devices becoming available in the shops and on the internet these days.

I have just purchased (For trial purposes only!!) a Glade Electric Melt Warmer. I find this is easy to operate, when I feel too lazy to keep lighting tea light candles.

On another note I do also make my own Soya Wax Tea Light candles, both natural and scented. I make Tea light candles in the same scents as the melts, use them together for that extra powerful scent throw.

Some other melting devices also available such as a pot pourri warmer, Yankee Warmer, Sentsy Warmer etc.

When finally your soya wax is all spent, when there is no fragrance left at all, it is generally fairly easy to remove. This is why I like the oil burners with a removable dish, as you can place the dish in a fridge and after a while the wax should be much easier to come away from the dish and be discarded, in a bin. OR of course, you can keep the wax and add your own fragrance to it.

You can also pour away the wax while it is still runny, not down the sink though!
